# Get started

Hello! It's the SmVend team. We've prepared instructions about our web app to help you set up your SmVend account and get up to speed as soon as possible.

Also, you can always refer to these instructions for more detailed info on the personal account sections and features.

If you're new to SmVend, follow this essential steps to get started:

# Sign-up

### How to sign up for an account?

You'll be assigned the [admin role](/personal-account/settings/team#what-are-the-team-roles) and have full control of your company space.

1. Go to <https://app.smvend.io/signup> and enter your e-mail address
2. Enter a confirmation code sent to your e-mail
3. Create a password
4. Fill out an onboarding form about you and your company. It's essential for quick start and convenient use of SmVend

Done! You've signed up, created your company's space and got full access to it.

Then you can [add other members](/personal-account/settings/team#how-to-add-a-team-member) to the company team.

1. Please wait for the invitation e-mail and click the Accept button on it

### How to get a demo account if I just want to explore the SmVend app?

Contact our team in any convenient way provided on our [website](https://smvend.io/en/contacts). We'll give you credentials to enter the demo account and see what the app looks like with the installed and configured machines.


# Machines

In this section, you can see a list of all your machines and general info about their operation. Every machine in this list has the name, type, and serial number of the SmVend controller installed in it.

At a glance, you can review their key performance highlights, such as recent sales, and revenue figures, and ensure smooth connectivity, stock availability, and minimal performance issues.

To go to the single machine page, click on one of the machines in the list. There you can:

* Change the machine [settings](/personal-account/machines/settings)
* [Configure](/personal-account/machines/configuration) the machine
* Set up machine [parameters](/personal-account/machines/parameters)
* Fill in the [product matrix](/personal-account/machines/product-matrix) and monitor [stocks](/personal-account/machines/stocks)
* Check logs, connections, and technical reports
* View reports on [events](/personal-account/reports/events), [sales by date](/personal-account/reports/sales-by-date), [sales details](/personal-account/reports/sales-details), [encashments](/personal-account/reports/encashments), [money in machine](/personal-account/reports/money-in-machines), [consumptions](/personal-account/reports/consumptions), [products](/personal-account/reports/products), and [traffic](/personal-account/reports/traffic). Their concept is the same as the main reports in the sidebar, but they only apply to that specific machine


# Settings

This section is crucial for your further work with our app. Please make sure to select all the options applicable in your case.

Everything selected in this section transfers directly to the [Configuration](/personal-account/machines/configuration) tab, where you can configure the specific function in more detail.

# Configuration

**Deposit button** — allows you to remotely send money to the machine, for example, in case of need to refund the customer. Remote deposits are considered an expense in the reports and are always automatically deducted from the Income figures.

Other settings options depend on what you selected in the [Settings](/personal-account/machines/settings) tab. Use the info icon next to each parameter to find out its tag.

Below you can find detailed info about POS terminal settings and Recipe teaching mode.

First fill out the [resources](/personal-account/products/resources), [products](/personal-account/products/products), and [matrix templates](/personal-account/products/matrix-templates) and set up the [product matrix](/personal-account/machines/product-matrix) for that specific machine. Then you can go back to the Recipe teaching and testing mode.

1. Select Testing mode and click Save.
2. Check if the task is completed in the History tab.
3. Customize the drinks on the coffee machine. When the drinks setup is complete, go back to your SmVend account.
4. Change Testing mode to Teaching mode and click Save.
5. Check if the task is completed in the History tab.
6. Press on each drink in the coffee machine in the same order as you have in your Product matrix. When done, go back to your SmVend account.
7. Change Teaching mode to Default mode and click Save.
8. Check if the task is completed in the History tab.
9. Reboot the coffee machine.

# Parameters

In this section, you can:

* **Name the machine**
* **Select its time zone** to see reports and events in both the machine and your local time zones, if they differ
* **Identify its location** so that you can have a general view of the area your business covers
* **Set up notifications** about no payments for a long time
* **Customize the working hours** of your machine and create a complex schedule if necessary

**Important!** The schedule setting does not imply the actual working schedule of the machine. This schedule is used for creating alerts. The machine remains online regardless of this setting.

# Product matrix

The product matrix is one of the most crucial sections that you need to fill out to benefit from all the reports in the app. The logic is that the product matrix is essentially the set of products and their resources in your machine.

There are two ways to fill it out:

1. **Create a new product matrix for the specific machine**\
   You can do it right there in the Product matrix tab, the process is the same as for [matrix templates](/personal-account/products/matrix-templates). But before that, you need to set up [resources](/personal-account/products/resources) and [products](/personal-account/products/products).
2. **Fill from the template or another machine and edit it if necessary**\
   This way is convenient if you've already filled out [matrix templates](/personal-account/products/matrix-templates) or want to copy a product matrix from another machine.

# Stocks

In the Stocks tab, you can check and regulate the amount of [resources](/personal-account/products/resources) left in the machine. Resources automatically appear in this section once you've filled out the product matrix of the machine.

The logic is based on the fact that the max refill quantity you indicate in the [product matrix](/personal-account/machines/product-matrix) counts as 100%. The bare minimum of each resource is 20%. When the resource stock in the machine is below 20%, it's highlighted in red, warning you to refill it.

### How to set up Stocks for a product that consists of only 1 ingredient?&#x20;

If your business involves selling one-piece products (like soda cans or tennis balls) you will need to set up Stocks so that 1 product consists of 1 ingredient. You can read the step-by-step instructions [here](/personal-account/machines/stocks/stocks-when-1-product-1-ingredient).


# Stocks when 1 product = 1 ingredient

If your business involves selling one-piece products (like soda cans or tennis balls) you will need to set up Stocks so that 1 product consists of 1 ingredient. Below you can find the full guide on how to do so.&#x20;

1. **Create an ingredient** \
   In the [Resources](/personal-account/products/resources) section in the left menu, create an ingredient with the name of the product you are selling. For example, to count the sale of 1 can of Sumol Orange put "Sumol Orange" in the ingredient name. \
   \
   Select "pieces" (**pc**) as the unit of measure.

2. **Create a product**\
   Then go to the [Products](/personal-account/products) tab in the left menu and create a product with the same name ("Sumol Orange"). Add the appropriate ingredient to this product.&#x20;

3. **Repeat steps 1 and 2 (if needed)**\
   Repeat it for each product you want to count.
4. **Set up the Product Matrix table**\
   Then go to the controller profile (you can do it through the Machines section), to the [Product Matrix tab](/personal-account/machines/product-matrix). Here set the maximum amount of product the vending machine can support.

5. **Go to the Stocks tab**\
   Now click on the Stocks tab. Here replenish the amount of product to the current amount in the vending machine using the **Refill resources** button.

6. **Check the configuration**\
   You can now see the remaining product in the vending machine on the Stocks tab, and the units sold on the Consumption tab.

## How do Stocks work?

In the Stocks tab, you can check and regulate the amount of resources left in the machine. Resources automatically appear in this section once you've filled out the product matrix of the machine.

# Products

This section is all about the products — goods or services — that you sell. Within it, you can:

1. Specify the [resources](/personal-account/products/resources) from which your products are made
2. Specify the [products](/personal-account/products/products) themselves
3. Create product [matrix templates](/personal-account/products/matrix-templates) to quickly fill in the matrixes of single machines

Please fill out the Products section in this exact order.


# Resources

In this section, you can add resources (ingredients) that your products consist of. For example, for coffee machines, it could be coffee beans, milk, cups, water, sugar, etc.

**How to add a new resource:**

1. Click Create
2. Enter resource name
3. Select resource unit. Available units are based on the unit system selected in [Company details](/personal-account/settings/company-details): metric or imperial

You can edit resources whenever you need.

# Products

Here you can specify all the goods and services you sell, but without prices — the main thing in this section is the composition of the products.

**How to add a new product:**

1. Click Create
2. Enter product name. Please create unique names to easily distinguish products in reports, when creating matrixes, etc.
3. Select product type: goods or service. In our app, goods have resources, but services do not. If your service requires to account  some resources/materials, select the goods product type
4. If you selected the goods product type, specify the resources and their quantities that your product consists of

# Matrix templates

Creating product matrix templates is not a must, but a very useful step if you have several machines with similar products and their prices. With the matrix templates, you can easily fill out product matrices for single machines.

**How to create a new matrix template:**

1. Enter the template name.
2. Choose how many rows and columns you need. The idea is that ideally it should be set up like your actual machine’s display, but may not be applicable in cases when you don't have products displayed. Then it's up to your personal convenience.

3. Select the products you are selling or create new ones if you haven't previously created them in the [Products](/personal-account/products/products) section.\
   Also, if you haven't created products before, you can select SmVend Default Product, but then it will be difficult to distinguish sales results in reports later on.
4. Once you have selected the product, enter the correct price for it.

3. When all the desired fields in the matrix turn blue, it means that it's ready and nothing is missed.
4. Also, below the matrix itself, you can indicate the maximum amount of each resource per machine, so then in the [Stocks](/personal-account/machines/stocks) you can regulate the amount based on how much of that resource is left in the machine.
5. Check out all the entered data once again and click Create.

Then you can use the created template to fill out the product matrixes for the single machines.

If you've filled out the machine product matrix with the template and then made changes to the template, the machine matrix won't be updated automatically.\
To apply the changes, you need to fill out the machine matrix with the template again.

# Reports

The Reports section contains various types of statistics for your entire network of vending machines.

On each page of the section there is a filter with which you can set which machines will be displayed in the report. Using the filter, you can choose to display:

• Only online machines

• Only offline machines

• Certain [groups of machines](/personal-account/settings/groups-of-machines)

• Specific machines from the drop-down list

Also, you can download the data from each report as a file. To do so, click on the download icon in the upper right corner of the report.

# General report

The general report focuses on the financial performance of your business.&#x20;

You can see how much income each machine brings over a specific period, of time as well as its income share in comparison to other machines in the company. This allows you to make significant conclusions for your business and use this analysis to leverage the best performing devices, depending on their stock/location/etc.

To better understand the calculation here, refer to this formula:

> Income = (Coins + Bills + Cards + Remote payments) - Change\
> We don't count the remote deposits here as this is an expense in reality.

**Remote payment** — payment that goes directly to the server, like QR-code payment.

**Remote deposit** — deposit made to the machine via a personal account.\
For example, a customer paid for a drink, but for some reason the drink was not made. In this case, you can remotely deposit money to the machine and let the customer get drink. This isn't included in Income, as it's essentially an expense made on your end.

**Negative income**

In very rare cases, income can be negative, and that's okay. For instance, when your customer made a payment but forgot to ask for change and did it later.

Let’s say Alice inserted 10€, bought a drink for 1€ and is waiting for it to be prepared. At that time, the controller is already sending information. So we have Inserted as 10€ and Income as 10€ and that Alice hasn't asked for change yet.

Next she decides to make another purchase, inserts 1€ and buys for 1€. Then she presses the Change button and gets 9€ of change. The next data we receive will look like that Alice inserted 1€, bought a product for 1€ and received change of 9€. So the income for this sale is: 1€ - 9€ = -8€.

In sum, the actual income from both sales is: 10€ + (-8€) = 2€.


# Sales by date

This report is designed to display sales analytics with a focus on time-of-sale analysis.

You can see how many sales and income were made on a certain day for all machines in total.

# Sales details

This report is focused on the particular details of each sale that happened on a certain day within a specific machine. Now you can see how much money was inserted into a specific machine, including all payment types.

> Inserted  = Coins + Bills + Cards + Remote payments + Remote deposits

Also, what's new here is the display of how many products and which products were sold within that specific sale and what payment type was used.

If you need to delete a sale from your records, you can do so by clicking on the red trash can icon for that sale.


# Money in machines

This report is a great way to find out how much money is in your machines and in what form. In addition, you can filter the information depending on what exactly you want to analyze or check.

# Encashments

The Encashments report within the Reports section also allows you to filter the data and target a specific machine or a group of them.

The encashment formula here is simple: the sum of all encashed payment types, except for remote deposits, for a certain period.

After encashment, the numbers in the [Money in Machines](/personal-account/reports/money-in-machines) report are annulled. Encashment can be done by clicking on the "Encash" button on the single machine page.

**Special case for coffee machines**

There is a piggy bank, aka cash box, for the money inserted into the coffee machine. If a coin falls into the cash box, the only thing that can be done is to encash it.

Change is done by extracting from the bowls, in which there is money with different denominations. Usually, the machine has 10 such bowls, like 50 cents, 1€, 2€, etc.

Most coffee machines are very smart. When a customer inserts money, the machine decides where to put it: into the cash box or the bowl.

So the inserted money, no matter where it goes, counts as a part of the sale. But at the same time, only part of the inserted money will be encashed, since the other part goes into the bowls. Hence, Inserted is not equal to what we process as Encashment.

We do the encashment only from the cash box, while some of the inserted money may get into the bowls.


# Events

Events show you important updates on the machine’s performance. Once you resolve the issue, you can move the event to irrelevant.

Apart from the issues, it might as well include positive informative events, for instance, that the connection is restored. All these events are logically related to each other, and if an event switches from negative to positive, it is automatically moved to the irrelevant list.

Also, you can filter all these events by a specific machine, groups of machines, or by date.

# Products

The Product report is a great tool to understand the performance of each product in your machines and make a decision on whether to continue selling it or maybe it's time to switch to something new.

You can select a specific time period and filter the data depending on whether you need information on a specific machine or a group of machines.

Also, you can use the Quantity/Money switch to see either the number of products sold or the sales price of those products in total.

# Consumptions

The Consumptions report shows how much of a certain resource has already been consumed in all your machines. The data in this report is based on the [product matrixes](/personal-account/machines/product-matrix) of all your machines and the [resources](/personal-account/products/resources) you specified for each product in the [Products](/personal-account/products/products) section.

This report will help highlight the most important resources that need to be procured more frequently and in larger quantities.

# Traffic

The Traffic report is located only on the Home page in the sidebar and on the Home page of a single machine.&#x20;

It allows you to identify the hours when the machines make the most sales and for the largest amount of money.

In the table, the data in the rows refer to each hour from the left column. For example, the data from the first row in the screenshot below refers to the period from 00:00 to 01:00.

# Settings

For the admin role only

This section is availiable only for the admin role. Here you can set up and edit all info related to your company:

* [Company details](/personal-account/settings/company-details) such as address, language, currency, units, time format and zone
* [Integrations](/personal-account/settings/integrations) with various platforms depenging on your local market
* [Groups of machines](/personal-account/settings/groups-of-machines)
* [Team](/personal-account/settings/team) members and their roles within the company


# Company details

For the admin role only

### How to set up the company details?

Almost all the required info is already filled out from the onboarding form. You should enter just a few details and click Save:

* Company address
* Zip / Postal code
* State (optional)
* VAT / GST (optional)

You can update your company details at any time you need.

# Integrations

For the admin role only

This section offers a range of possibilities to seamlessly integrate with various platforms depending on your local market. Those integrations allow you to expand the payment options, providing greater convenience to your customers.

# Groups of machines

For the admin role only

### How to create a group of machines?

You can bundle machines into groups to manage them in a more convenient way. One company can have several groups of machines. To create a group:

1. Click `Create group`
2. Enter the group name
3. Select the group color
4. Select the machines you want to group

# Team

For the admin role only

### What are the team roles?

1. **Admin**\
   Has all rights and full access to everything in the company space. There can be only one admin in the team.
2. **Manager**\
   Has access to full data on machines added to him by the admin, but can'‎t set up members, groups of machines, integrations and company details.
3. **Technician**\
   Has access to the machines added to him by the admin. Sees only technical data: errors, connections, stocks, technical report, etc.
4. **Accountant**\
   Has access to the machines added to him by the admin. Sees only data financial data: sales, encahments, money in machines, etc.

### How to add a team member?

1. Click Add member
2. Enter member's e-mail
3. Select member's role
4. Select member's machines
5. Click Invite
6. Added member will receive an e-mail invitation and has to accept it to join the team

# Profile

### How do I set up my profile?

1. Fill in your full name and select your time zone, preferred interface language and time format. Save the changes

You can select your local time zone. If the time zone of the machine differs from yours, you'll see the date and time in both zones in the reports.

The interface language selected in your profile applies only to your personal account and may differ from the company language.

2. Select the types of notifications you want to receive about the state of your machines. Notifications about no payments for a long time can be set up in more detail in the [Parameters](/personal-account/machines/parameters) tab of the single machine

You can update your profile details at any time you need.

### Can I delete my profile?

Yes, you can delete your profile at any time by clicking the "Delete profile" button in the Profile section.

**If you're an admin**, your company will be deleted from SmVend app along with your account. Also, if your team members don't have membership in any other companies within SmVend, their personal accounts will be deleted too.

**If you're a team member** of several companies, your account will be deleted only in that company where you click Delete profile.

### How to switch between multiple accounts?

If you have multiple accounts bound to the same email address, you might need to know how to switch between them. Follow these steps:

1. **Finding the Profile Icon**\
   As a first step, locate the profile icon on your screen in the upper right corner.
2. **Changing Accounts**\
   To switch accounts, click the profile icon. A dropdown menu with all available accounts will appear.\
   To choose the correct account (in the example below, you can see 3 of them), click on the account name in the list, and you will be redirected to it.

# Payment

To ensure uninterrupted access to your [SmVend personal account](https://app.smvend.io/), please make sure your subscription payments are made on time.

For your convenience, all payments are handled through Stripe, a secure payment system that allows you to link a card and manage your monthly billing automatically.

## How to add a payment method

1. Go to the <kbd>Payment</kbd> section in your [SmVend account](https://app.smvend.io/).

# Smart controller without machines

Sometimes our goal involves processing a payment and displaying a notification on the screen to confirm that a payment has been completed. In such cases, we connect the payment system to the controller plugged into a power socket.

This approach was used in an amusement park for a Ferris wheel. We processed the payment, and once the administrator confirmed that the payment was successful, the client was granted access to the attraction.

There are various usage scenarios for this system. Some examples we have encountered include:

1. Ferris wheel
2. Cinema entrance
3. Shooting gallery
4. Shower stall at a gas station

# Remote firmware update

Updating the SmVend telemetry controller remotely keeps your system up-to-date with the latest features and security updates. Here's how to do it:

1. **Request the latest firmware**\
   Contact SmVend technical support to have the latest firmware uploaded to your сontroller.
2. **Initiate the update**\
   Follow the instructions below for your SmVend controller model.

### How to initiate updates on Smart controllers

### How to initiate updates on Mini controllers

SmVend Mini controllers can be remotely updated via SIM card or WiFi.

To initiate the update:

1. **Disconnect power**\
   Turn off the controller's power.
2. **Ensure Internet access**\
   Ensure the device can access the Internet via SIM card or Wi-Fi.
3. **Power on**\
   While holding the controller's button, turn the power back on. All four LED indicators will briefly light up. Then the POS indicator will turn off, and the LINK and ONLINE indicators will flash alternately with a duration ratio of 1 to 1.
4. **Enter bootloader mode**\
   The controller is now in bootloader mode — release the button. Once the controller is connected to the server, the LINK and ONLINE indicators will flash with a new pattern — the duration ratio will be 1 to 7.&#x20;
5. **Update is complete**\
   After downloading the update, all four indicators will light up continuously as the new software is installed. Once the installation is completed, the controller will automatically switch back to normal operating mode.

# MDB

Let's make it simple: MDB stands for **Multi-Drop Bus**. It's a standard way for different parts of a vending machine to talk to each other. Think of it as a common language that all the components understand.

   Disconnect the machine from the power supply and remove the back cover of the coffee machine. This will provide access to the internal components for connecting the controller.
2. **Disconnect the Display cable**\
   Disconnect the cable from the coffee machine's board that goes to the display.

### How to connect Smart controller

1. **Preparation**\

   In place of the disconnected cable connect the cable supplied with the controller to the coffee machine's board. Connect the other end of the supplied cable to the display cable.

4. **Connect the Power Supply**\
   Connect the power supply plug of the supplied cable to the socket marked +24V in the image from step 2. Connect the remaining end of the supplied cable to the Smart Connector controller.


# Recipe learning

Recipe learning is essential for your Dr. Coffee machine to collect and provide accurate data about your sales and resources. To ensure everything is set up correctly, please follow the guide below.

### Recipe learning process

1. Go to the page of a specific machine. Ensure that the controller is online.

**Important!** If the controller is offline, check the internet connectivity via a SIM card or Ethernet cable. If the controller remains offline, settings **will not be transmitted** to the controller.

2. Go to the `Configuration` tab on the machine page. In `Teach mode` section enable `Testing mode` and click `Save` button at the bottom of the page.

3. Ensure that changes are applied on the `History` tab.

4. Set up all recipes on the coffee machine itself.
5. After the recipes are correctly implemented on the machine, you need to teach the controller. To do so, go to the `Configuration` tab on the machine page and change `Teach mode` to `Teaching mode` . Then, click `Save` button at the bottom of the page.

6. Ensure that changes are applied on the `History` tab.
7. Click twice on each drink on the coffee machine screen. There should be a 3-second pause between the first and second attempts.

**Important!** The order in which the drinks are pressed should match the numbering of the drinks. The numbering is usually arranged from left to right.

8. After all drinks are pressed, go back to the `Configuration` tab and change `Teach mode` to `Default mode`. Then, click `Save` button at the bottom of the page.

### **Enabling the API interface on your machine**

To enable the API Interface functionality on your machine, follow these steps. Without enabling this feature, the machine will not respond to any API requests.

### Is it necessary to set the prices of goods on the machine?

No, as soon as you set the prices on the controller, they will immediately appear on the screen of the coffee machine.


# Product matrix

If the `Payment system` configuration is set to `Yes` without an existing terminal, the coffee machine will send all data to the controller, which acts as a payment device in this case. \
\
If the `Payment system` is set to `No`, the coffee machine will not send any data except for error messages. This configuration helps manage data flow and ensures that the machine operates correctly based on the available payment infrastructure.

Prices in the product matrix should be included only if you are using a payment terminal. If there is no payment terminal, set the product prices to 0. This ensures that the machine does not attempt to process payments without the necessary hardware.

For Eversys coffee machines equipped with dual display screens, an additional configuration is required. Once the configuration is complete, set up your product matrix as follows:

* **Left Screen:** Assign odd-numbered products (e.g., 1, 3, 5, 7, ...)
* **Right Screen:** Assign even-numbered products (e.g., 2, 4, 6, 8, ...)

### What if I plan to use different sorts of milk in my machine?&#x20;

**Please note** that if your coffee recipes differ in more than just the type of milk used, configure the controller as if it is using only one type of milk. This means that the distinction between the recipes is not solely based on the milk type.

The setting for two types of milk should be used only when the drinks differ solely by the milk type, with all other aspects of the recipe being identical. In this scenario, the drinks will appear as the same drink number in the coffee machine's sales history.

To set up advertising on your coffee machine screen, please follow these steps:

1. **Connect to the Internet**\
   Plug in a LAN cable to connect your Eversys Cameo coffee machine to the Internet. Then, ensure the Internet is working. To do so, log in with the technician's password and navigate to `Interfaces menu` > `Telemetry` > `Check connection`
2. **Upgrade firmware**

   In your Eversys account, upgrade the coffee machine’s firmware to version 5.3.1 or newer.<br>

### Advertising without a controller

To display advertisements on your coffee machine, please follow these steps:

1. **Connect and Bind the Coffee Machine**

   Connect the coffee machine to the internet. Bind the machine to your personal Eversys account.<br>
2. **Upgrade Firmware**

   In your Eversys account, upgrade the coffee machine’s firmware to version 5.3.1 or newer.

4. **Add Machine to SmVend Account**

1. **Reconnect to the coffee machine**

   Connect the reassembled cable back to the coffee machine.

1. Connect the original telemetry cable from WMF to the socket on the right side of the machine according to the scheme.

After connecting the telemetry controller to the vending machine, it is necessary to connect a GSM antenna to amplify the GSM signal:

1. Install a SIM card in the designated slot.
2. Ensure that the SIM card is activated and has a working internet connection.&#x20;

**Alternatively**, SmVend telemetry controllers can be connected to the internet via WiFi. The Smart controller also supports internet connection via an Ethernet cable.&#x20;

Next, configure the telemetry controller through your [SmVend personal account](https://app.smvend.io/).

1. Go to the `Machines` section.

3. Go to the `Configuration` tab.

4. Configure the settings of the controller and click the `Save` button. Settings that must be configured:

* `Price`\
  The price of a single launch by the OUT 1 link. \
  ❗️Default setting = €1
* `Input pulse price for input 1 (bills)` \
  The price of one input pulse from a bill acceptor to the SmVend controller. \
  ❗️Default setting = €1
* `Input pulse price for input 2 (coins)` \
  The price of one input pulse from a coin acceptor to the SmVend controller. \
  ❗Default setting = €0.1
* `Multiplier for output 1` \
  The number of pulses transmitted from the SmVend controller to the machine board if the machine requires more than one pulse to start (OUT 1 link).\
  ❗️Default setting = 1
* `Output pulse duration (active time), ms` \
  The pulse duration is transmitted from the SmVend controller to the machine board. Most machines operate at a pulse duration of 100 ms (milliseconds).\
  ❗️Default setting = 100
* `Output pulse pause (inactive time), ms` \
  The time between two consecutive pulses transmitted from the SmVend controller to the machine board. Most machines operate with a pulse pause duration of 100 ms (milliseconds).\
  ❗️Default setting = 100

5. After configuring settings, you need to ensure that settings are applied. To do this, go to the `History` tab and check the task's status. If the `Completed` column contains:\

# Go2

This guide provides a comprehensive step-by-step process to set up the myPOS Go 2 with the SmVend Controller. ### Step-by-step

1. **Registration**\
   Register for the myPOS service by visiting [myPOS Enrollment](https://www.mypos.com/en/enroll).

2. **Add the terminal**\
   Add the terminal to your myPOS account using the serial number printed on the back of the terminal.

3. **Update firmware** \
   Contact myPOS support and request an update for your terminal to operate with a vending machine. You will receive a notification from myPOS support once the new firmware is ready.

4. **Connect to SmVend controller**\
   Connect the myPOS terminal to the SmVend telemetry controller using a special сonnector depending on the model of the controller:&#x20;

* Select the `Update Software` option. After the update is confirmed, the POS will reboot.
* After the reboot, go to the `Settings` menu again.
* Select the `Change Profile` option and choose the `Cash Register` profile. The POS will reboot again.
* After the reboot, the `Connection type` menu will appear. Choose the `USB cable` option.
* Select the `myPOS DATA card` option. The message `Network Registration` will appear, and after a few seconds, the terminal will connect to the Internet.

7. **Connecting GSM** \
   After connecting the telemetry controller to the vending machine, it is necessary to connect a GSM antenna to amplify the GSM signal. Install a SIM card in the designated slot and ensure that the SIM card is activated and has a working internet connection. <br>
8. **Configuration of the SmVend controller**&#x20;

   Next, configure the telemetry controller through your [SmVend personal account](https://app.smvend.io/). Go to the page of a specific vending machine, and then go to the `Configuration` tab on the machine page.

**Important!** Ensure that the controller is online. A green indicator next to the machine name means the controller is online, while a red indicator means it is offline. If the controller is offline, check the internet connectivity of the SIM card. If the controller remains offline, the settings will not be transmitted.

Settings that need to be configured on the `Configuration` tab:

* Select the `myPOS` option in the `POS terminal type` section.
* Turn on the toggle for `Pre-authorization` if needed.
* Choose the currency of your country in the `POS Currency` section.
* After everything is submitted correctly, don't forget to click the `Save` button at the bottom of the page.

# Initiate payment mode

If you're using your Go2 myPOS terminal with the pulse SmVend controller, you must enable the `Initiate payment` mode on the terminal. Please follow these steps:

# Self

This guide provides a comprehensive step-by-step process to set up the Worldline Self with the SmVend Controller. &#x20;

1. **Registration**\
   To register in the Worldline system, please reach out to Mr. David Mainka at [**david.mainka@worldline.com**](mailto:david.mainka@worldline.com)<br>
2. **Get a TID** \
   Once you complete the registration and answer all questions, you will receive a TID number from the bank.<br>
3. **Activate the terminal** \
   The terminal can be activated by using the [manual](/equipment-installation/pos-terminals/worldline/self-manual).[<br>](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RHUiiI46ceedifJ2dizRrIU32RDlpKuK/edit?usp=drive_link\&ouid=114314316752757522079\&rtpof=true\&sd=true)
4. **Software update**\
   Once this part is completed, you will need to access the `Service mode` again and navigate to `Setup`, then to `SW Update`. For accessing `SW Update`, you will need a password that you should get from Worldline (you will need a dedicated password for each terminal).

You might not be able to set up everything correctly on the first attempt and may need to reset the terminal via the `Setup menu` (`Trm reset`). Once that’s done, you will need to retry configuring it from the beginning.

5. **Configuration in the SmVend personal account**\
   In your SmVend account, go to the specific machine page, then to the `Configuration` tab and select the POS terminal type `MDB`, then click `Save`. To apply the changes, the controller must be online. After the command is delivered to the controller, the controller must be restarted.

### Additional information

* Terminal can use MDB ONLY over the Ethernet connection. Even if you purchase a 4G modem for this terminal it will not be able to work via it. Due to this limitation, please be aware that you will need to purchase a router.
* To make this terminal work over MDB, you will require a special MDB module.
* If the terminal’s firmware is set by the bank to use EURO and if you set the currency to, for example, Czech Krones, the display will show CZK but all transactions will be done in EUR.

Before you can get started, the individual modules must be correctly and securely mounted. Then the commissioning process described below must also be carried out before configuration.

**Note:** The white light is only available directly after connecting it to power for approx. 2 seconds. After that moment you are no longer able to get into the maintenance mode unless power is dis- and reconnected again.

2. **Connect the Machine cable** \
   Connect the Machine cable (MFD 3x3F) to your machine for data exchange.

3. **Connect the Power supply +24V cable**\
   Connect the Power supply +24V (MFD 2x3F) cable to your machine to power up the controller.

# ccTalk bill/coin acceptor

Below you can find the guide on how to connect the ccTalk bill/coin acceptor with the SmVend Smart Connector controller.

1. **Connect the SmVend cable to a bill and coin acceptor**\
   Connect the SmVend cable to the corresponding slots on the bill acceptor and coin acceptor.

# Azkoyen U II hopper

Below you can find the guide on how to connect the Azkoyen U-II hopper with the SmVend Smart Connector controller.

### Step-by-step guide

1. **Switch the hopper to the STANDARD PULSE mode**\
   To switch the Azkoyen U-II hopper to pulse mode, you need to install a jumper at the underside of the hopper as shown in the illustration in accordance with the instructions indicated on the machine.&#x20;

2. **Connect the power supply cable and pulse output to the hopper** \
   Contacts 1, 2, 3 are combined into one — this is +12V.\
   Contacts 4, 5, 6 are combined into one — this is GND.\
   Contact 7 (“Control”) is used to transmit the pulse and deliver the change from the hopper.\
   The other contacts are not used.

3. **Connect everything to the SmVend telemetry controller**\
   Connect the coin acceptor, hopper, output motor, and output sensor to the SmVend telemetry controller and an external +12V power supply according to the following scheme.

* **Coin acceptor**\
  The +12V power supply wire from the coin acceptor is connected to the ENABLE terminal.\
  The PULSE wire from the coin acceptor (signal wire) is connected to the COIN terminal.\
  The GND wire from the coin acceptor is connected to the GND terminal.
* **Output motor**\
  The +12V power supply wire from the output motor is connected to the +12V terminal.\
  The GND wire from the output motor is connected to the OUTPUT1 terminal.
* **Output sensor**\
  The +12V power supply wire from the output sensor is connected to the +12V terminal.\
  The GND wire from the output sensor is connected to the CARD terminal.

**Attention!** The output sensor must be closed (short-circuit the input to the ground) at the time of the product's passage.

  The +12V power supply wire from the hopper is connected to the +12V terminal.\
  The PULSE wire from the hopper (signal wire) is connected to the OUTPUT2 terminal.\
  The GND wire from the hopper is connected to the GND terminal.
* **External power supply +12V**\
  The +12V power supply wire from the external power supply is connected to the +12V terminal.\
  The GND wire from the external power supply is connected to the GND terminal.

4. **GSM antenna** \
   After connecting the telemetry controller to the machine, a GSM antenna must be connected to amplify the GSM signal. Ensure that a SIM card is installed in a designated slot.
5. **Configuration in the SmVend personal account**\
   Next, you need to configure the telemetry controller through your [**SmVend personal account**](https://app.smvend.io/)**:**&#x20;

* Go to the specific machine page
* Go to the `Configuration` tab
* Set the cost of 1 unit of product in the `Price` field

* Set the cost of 1 pulse in the `Input pulse price for input 2 (coins)`field
* Set the change value in the `Input pulse price for input 3 (acquiring)` field
* Enable the `Hopper mode (enable output 1 until pulse on input 3)` option

* Click `Save` for the settings to be transmitted to the telemetry controller
* Go to the `History` tab and check that the settings were applied on the telemetry controller. If the `Completed` column contains:\

This guide will walk you through the necessary steps to set up your MONEI account and integrate it with SmVend, ensuring a seamless payment experience for your vending solutions. Please follow the instructions carefully to complete the process.

1. **Enable Live Data Mode**\
   Ensure that the toggle in the header is turned on in `Live data` mode.

2. **Find an Account ID**\
   Go to `Settings` using the menu in the top right corner.&#x20;

Copy your Account ID using the provided button in the `Account` section.

3. **Contact SmVend tech support**\
   Contact SmVend tech support at **+371 28701129** (WhatsApp) to add MONEI integration settings to your account.
4. **Insert the API key in your SmVend account**\
   Once the integration is added, insert the Account ID in your SmVend personal account in the controller profile: `Settings -> Integrations ->  MONEI`\
   The `Name` parameter can be filled with any information you want to use to identify this integration.

5. **Select payment methods in your MONEI account**\
   Go back to your MONEI account and select the payment methods you want to use in the `Payment Methods` section.

6. **Create a QR code**

   Go to the specific machine for which you want to create a QR code in your SmVend account.

   Create a QR code in the section `Settings -> MONEI`
