# Sigma

This guide provides a comprehensive step-by-step process to set up the myPOS Sigma with the SmVend Controller. Whether you are a seasoned vending machine operator or new to the industry, this guide will help you seamlessly integrate these technologies, ensuring your vending machine is equipped to handle a variety of payment methods.

### Step-by-step

1. **Registration**\
   Register for the myPOS service by visiting [myPOS Enrollment](https://www.mypos.com/en/enroll).

2. **Add the terminal**\
   Add the terminal to your myPOS account using the serial number printed on the back of the terminal.

3. **Gather Necessary Equipment**\
   Ensure you have the following equipment:

   * SmVend telemetry controller
   * SmVend - myPOS cable
   * myPOS Sigma POS terminal

4. **Connect the Cable**&#x20;
   * Connect the SmVend - myPOS cable to the corresponding connectors on the POS terminal.
   * Connect the other end of the cable to the POS port on the SmVend controller.

5. **Power Up**\
   Apply power to the SmVend controller. The myPOS Sigma terminal will start automatically.<br>
6. **Configure settings** \
   Enter the settings menu by pressing the `volume +` button twice, followed by the `volume -` button twice, located on the back of the terminal.

   When accessing the terminal settings for the first time, you will be prompted to set a password for future access.<br>
7. **Pairing**\
   By default, access to the status and navigation bars is limited. Change this by doing the following:&#x20;
   1. Pair the myPOS Sigma with a vending machine.
   2. Enter the `Settings menu` of the device.
   3. Choose `Pair device`
   4. Choose `RS-232A` port.
8. **Final setup with SmVend support**\
